Waylon has always had a passion for personal finance, from co-founding a brokerage company with his best friend when they were 14 (though they only ever had 1 customer) to the future where he aspires to one day be an advisor himself. Despite the early passion, he truly fell in love with the field during his fire academy where he saw first hand the amount of people who he felt he could truly make a meaningful impact on their lives.

A native of Redding, Waylon has always appreciated the natural beauty of the surrounding areas, often taking full advantage of the region’s hiking, camping, and skiing opportunities. After high school, he went to play football at Shasta College and got an aa in business administration. He then transferred to the beautiful UC Santa Barbara, where he completed his Bachelor’s degree in Communication.

While Waylon loved his time in Santa Barbara, he’s grateful to be back in Redding with his family, his girlfriend, and his dog, and is eager to continue pursuing his career aspirations in personal finance.
